COVID PRECAUTIONS
Learn & Grow Creatively will follow all federal, state, and local guidelines and policies to the best of our ability and will seek advice when needed. Guidelines will be adapted as needed and we will always do the best for our children and staff at all times.​ The health and safety of our children and staff is of the utmost importance to us.

Learn & Grow will adhere to strict car pick up and drop off procedures. All adults are asked to pull around the building and drop/pick up children at the door. Parents will be required to wear a mask and maintaining social distancing during high transmission seasons when signs are posted.

All employees will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms with the following questions and measures daily:

Are you currently awaiting the results of COVID 19 testing?
Within the last 14 days, have you traveled to any foreign country?
Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
Have you had a new loss of taste or smell?
Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

All staff will have their temperatures taken onsite with a no-touch thermometer each day upon arrival to work. Temperatures will be logged each day at the start of an employee’s shift. Normal temperature should not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

All Learn & Grow staff will practice good hand hygiene. Employees will wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer between hand washing, avoid touching their face, and wear clean clothing to work each day.

All staff are required to stay home if feeling ill, report any symptoms of illness to their Director immediately, and require notification of COVID-19 positive cases in the employee's household. Any employee who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to leave the premises immediately and seek medical care and/or COVID-19 testing, per Tennessee Department of Health and CDC guidelines. A medical release form may be required for employees to return to work.​

Staff will screen all children upon arrival into the center for COVID-19 symptoms with the following questions and measures daily:

Within the last 10 days, have you traveled to any foreign country?
Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
Have you had a new loss of taste or smell?
Have you had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?
Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

All children will practice good hand and body hygiene. Children will wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer between hand washing, avoid touching their face, and wear clean clothing to camp each day.

All parents are instructed to keep their children home if they are feeling ill, report any symptoms of illness to the Director immediately, and require notification of COVID-19 positive cases in the child's household. Any child who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to leave the premises immediately and seek medical care and/or COVID-19 testing, per Tennessee Department of Health and CDC guidelines. A medical release form may be required for children to return to the center.​

All teachers and children ages 2+ are required to wear a mask during the day during high transmission seasons.

Learn & Grow is limiting any onsite visitors and will use all screening guidelines and will practice social distancing between visitors and children and employees. Visitors will be asked to come after hours for tours and interviews if at all possible. Masks will be required.

Learn & Grow will place hand sanitizer stations throughout our center and will promote good hand hygiene and give multiple hand washing breaks through the day. ​All staff and children will wash their hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds to prevent the transmission of COVID 19 and other diseases. Hand sanitizer will not replace normal handwashing.

All staff will perform regular disinfection and sanitizing of high-touch surface areas (light switches, doors, door handles, tables, chairs, playground equipment, reusable items, toys, restrooms, etc. ) throughout the day with deep cleaning taking place during nap time. All cleaning materials will be kept secure and out of reach of children. Staff will wear disposable gloves to clean and sanitize.​​

Learn & Grow will practice hand hygiene at the following times:
​​
*Upon arrival
*Before and after preparing food or drinks
*Before and after eating or handling food
*After diapering, potty training, or using the restroom
*After coming in contact with any bodily fluid
*After playing outdoors
*After handling garbage
*After using cleaning products
*After wearing gloves
*When visibly dirty
*Before going home for the day
Any toys, stuffed animals, games, blankets, pillows, etc from home will not be allowed into the center. This will prevent the transmission of COVID 19 and other diseases and their entry into center.

Learn & Grow will communicate with all families and the local health department if a child, employee, or family member of a child/employee tests positive for COVID 19. Children and staff with direct exposure with be asked to quarantine for at least 5 days and will not be allowed back at school until such date and a negative COVID test are provided. (All current CDC and TDH guidelines will be followed) A deep clean of the classroom/s will be preformed as well.
